October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In support and memory of the many people whose lives have been affected by breast cancer, we are supporting the Canadian Cancer Society by purchasing pink ribbon pins and mailing them to our newest clients.
Cindy enjoyed the sights of Montreal at the Raymond James Advisory Committee’s October meeting. This is an opportunity to join discussions and lend guidance on company direction, priorities and initiatives.

The team, together with clients, business partners and friends, came together to raise over $9,500 and collect 40 boxes of diapers (5,722 diapers!) for the Archway Family Centre’s Best for Babies program in Abbotsford. Our Diaper Drive culminates in an Open House in June.

Cindy contributes meals and office supplies to Central Fraser Valley Search & Rescue who worked tirelessly when floods hit our community.
Cindy and Margaret present Kelly Watson, 1st Vice President, with a donation of $7,440 for the Abbotsford Royal Canadian Legion on Remembrance Day. The money was given by both Cindy and Margaret individually, and in conjunction with the Raymond James Memorial Fund, in memory of former team member, Martin Chambers.
We are treated to a visit from our friend and business associate, Andrew McCreath, anchor of BNN Bloomberg’s ‘Weekly with Andrew McCreath,’ and CEO/CIO of Forge First Asset Management. Andrew shared his always insightful quarterly market review.
Cindy and Margaret contribute to the Abbotsford Cyrus Centre, both individually and in conjunction with the Raymond James Memorial Fund, in memory of former team member, Martin Chambers, who passed away in 2019.
Our furry colleagues, Olivia and Georgia, are happy to be surrounded by so many other furry friends. Each year Cindy donates to the WWF, and team members choose an endangered animal to symbolically adopt. Our animal family has sure grown over the years!

Cindy presented an educational event hosted by the Estate Planning Council of Canada on, “How to Safeguard Your Senior Clients from Investment Abuse.” She explored the challenges relating to this, provided experiences and discussed how to recognize warning signs and what to do if you find yourself in this situation!
The Abbotsford Royal Canadian Legion received Cindy’s annual donation this Remembrance Day. The funds they raise work in many areas including: assisting any person who is serving (or who has served) in the Canadian Forces, treatment of trauma and PSTD in veterans, medical necessities for senior care, and provides housing support to stop homelessness such as Cockrell House. Margaret and Cindy from the Cindy Boury PWM team were thrilled to donate $4,000 to the Abbotsford Cyrus Centre in connection with the Raymond James Canada Foundation. The Cyrus Centre supports our community's youth who are homeless, fleeing abuse, poverty, exploitation or drugs.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Sheryl Boury from the CBPWM team created a colouring contest for all ages to participate. We had 2 categories (12 years and younger & Over 12 years. The winners each received a $50.00 Michael’s gift card! We had so much fun receiving the entries by the artists, and we thank everyone for participating!
We are thrilled to announce that Cindy Boury is part of the new Women's Advisory Council. The Council was created to help move the needle forward on female advisor initiatives for our Network for Women Advisors. Collectively, they will be able to further support our existing female advisors as well as clearly identify to the industry that Raymond James is the best firm for women advisors.

In Memory of Martin Chambers: It is with our deepest sadness we regret to inform you of the passing of our friend and colleague Martin Chambers. In late November Martin was diagnosed with double pneumonia. This quickly developed into ARDS (Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome) and he was hospitalized at Abbotsford Regional Hospital where he passed away on December 28, 2019. Martin was a caring, compassionate man and an integral part of our team. He was a dear friend to us, both in our professional and personal lives. You always knew he would be there for you with a helping hand, or a funny joke to make you smile. He was incredibly intelligent, but strived to remain humble and kind. Many of you got to know him over the years since he joined our team and he built many relationships with our clients and friends. He will be truly missed by all of us, but most of all his wife Margaret. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Margaret and her family.

Cindy, Sheryl and Susan were so happy to receive the invitation to support and congratulate Harold Janzen for receiving the Community Builders' Award from Archway Community Services. This yearly award ceremony acknowledges those who have made an outstanding contribution to Archway and the community. It also marked their 50th year anniversary. They help people in crisis from women escaping violence to people struggling with addictions, and assist other from newcomers in Canada to people with developmental disabilities.

We are excited to share that the Cindy Boury Private Wealth Management team has donated $35,000.000 to the Canadian Cancer Society through the Pink Ribbon Project and the Raymond James Canada Annual Giving Campaign in support and memory of the many people whose lives have been affected by cancer.
We are so proud to have had been a Silver Sponsor of the Abbotsford Hospice Society's Butterfly Ball! Together we raised $159,000! We are proud to attend and be a part of such a meaningful fundraiser that impacts our community.
